JALANDHAR: Activists of the Aam Aadmi Party today held a dharna against the state government for the manhandling of MLAs in the Vidhan Sabha.

Jalandhar, June 23

Activists of the Aam Aadmi Party today held a dharna against the state government for the manhandling of MLAs in the Vidhan Sabha. They burnt an effigy of the government at Company Bagh today.

Dharnas against the government were held by AAP activists across the state. In Jalandhar, local MLAs along with party volunteers held the dharna and condemned the removal of turbans of AAP MLAs and dupattas of the party’s women MLAs.

Phagwara: Activists of AAP and the Lok Insaaf Party (LIP), led by Jarnail Nangal, today burnt an effigy of the Congress government in the state for murdering democracy. They also burnt an effigy of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker for his alleged partial working.

They alleged that AAP leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira and LIP leader Simarjit Singh Bains were suspended from the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to prevent them from exposing the alleged corrupt practices of the Congress government. — TNS
