Jalandhar January 13

A fire broke out in a local wholesale store of garments, Ashoka Store, in the Guru Market near Sheikhan Bazaar. Though the actual reason has not known yet, the police claimed a minor short-circuit led to the fire.

A team of the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the situation.

However, shopkeepers in the area said the fire brigade failed to reach the spot on time. If it would have reached on time, goods could have been saved.
