New flag installed at rest house

PHAGWARA: Though a 105-feet high National Flag was installed before the rest house in Phagwara some years back, most of the time it was found either damaged or torn.

Phagwara, August 17

Though a 105-feet high National Flag was installed before the rest house in Phagwara some years back, most of the time it was found either damaged or torn.

A new flag was installed by Municipal Commissioner Davinder Singh just 24 hours ahead of Independence Day, but none of the parties including the Congress, BJP, SAD, AAP or the BSP turned up on the occasion.

Congressmen too preferred to ignore the National Flag hoisted before the rest house and instead chose to attend the official function held at Government High School where a temporary National Flag was installed. — OC
