After getting excellent result in Class X and XII, Education Secretary Krishan Kumar, in a fresh circular issued to the school heads and teachers, has exhorted them to further consolidate the good work done by them by bringing more children to government schools.

“The Education Department, under the ‘Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab’ project, has devised a mechanism to improve the teaching-learning process in the schools. Also, it has imparted training to teachers by organising seminars to motivate school heads and teachers to realise their worth and potential,” the Education Secretary stated in the circular.

He said: “The results of Class X and XII have clearly shown that they toiled hard to make the ‘Shikhiya Sudhaar Muhim’ successful”.

He also mentioned in the circular that the teachers should not equate themselves with ordinary government employees as they had to accomplish the mission of building a nation. With their hard work, a positive change in public perception about the government schools was being witnessed.

“Now, people, especially the less privileged sections of the society, have started looking towards the government schools for providing better education facilities to their children,” Kumar said.

“In the present era, people are aware about educating their children. The need of the hour is to sensitise the less-privileged section of the society about the qualitative improvement in infrastructural as well as academic facilities available at the government schools,” he added.
