The Ministerial Services Union of the Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) today condemned the PSPCL management for its policies. The union was deliberating at a meeting held at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall. It was presided over by Harbhajan Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Harbhajan Singh said despite several promises, the long-pending demands of the union had not been fulfilled. He said an agreement was signed between the union and the management on February 14 this year but it has not yet been implemented. He said the union has decided to stage a pen-down strike on January 22 next year against it.

The long-pending demands of the union include enhancement of salaries with effect from December 1, 2011, enhancement allowances, filling up of 28,000 vacant posts and cancellation of out-sourcing of work.
