Special camp at Sainik School tomorrow

JALANDHAR:A special camp will be held at Sainik School Kapurthala on October 10 to spread awarenes about National Defence Academy (NDA) among students.



Jalandhar, October 8 

A special camp will be held at Sainik School Kapurthala on October 10 to spread awarenes about National Defence Academy (NDA) among students. This was stated by the school Principal, Capt Shakti Sharma, here today.

He said, besides students of Sainik School, as many as 2,000 students from other schools would also be attending the camp. The main aim of the camp would be to exhort students from Punjab to opt for defence services, he added. He said, “Students shall be given information about the requisite educational qualification and the way to get into defence services,” he added. Sharma said students would also be given information regarding the admission procedure for Sainik School, Kapurthala, and National Defence Academy. An exhibition of warfare weaponry and vehicles will also be held on the occasion. Air modelling, tank guide and helicopter show shall be the chief attractions of the camp.  Captain Sharma said a film on training in the National Defence Academy (NDA) would be screened at the auditorium of Sainik School, Kapurthala. School band of Sainik School, Kapurthala, would also perform on the occasion, he added. —TNS
