Despite the big numbers, the movie has received criticism for a “misogynistic and toxic” portrayal.
Didn’t notice the deeply misogynistic & patriarchal narrative? Just intense acting? That is truly deeply disturbing. That you are the the chairperson of the @NCWIndia , makes me wonder about what we can hope for when it comes to women’s place in #India . 🔴 https://t.co/zxcLWVFuiO

if the movie wasn't bad enough, the tagline for #KabirSingh is "his love has no boundaries...his passion makes him unstoppable"

l o l. raise your hands if you've ever heard an abusive man use that excuse
Imagine thinking ‘yes, a violent, crude, misogynist...would make an EXCELLENT protagonist because he’s Rs .Rs In LoVeRs .Rs ’ and actually making a movie out of it in a world that is still reeling under the pressure of an altered gender dynamic. Who the hell makes these decisions ffs.
