Actresses Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoe Kravitz are officially on the star-cast list for Big Little Lies Season 2 on HBO. Woodley returns as Jane Chapman, Dern comes back as Renata Klein and Kravitz reprises the role of Bonnie Carlson. The actresses join previously announced returning cast members Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. Meryl Streep will also be joining the second season as Perry’s mother.
Reportedly, the second season will see Jane trying to build a new life for herself and Ziggy while processing Perry’s sudden death. Woodley and Dern were both nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe award in the supporting actress category for their work on the show’s first season, with Dern winning both awards.
