Continuing their protest against the alleged apathy towards their genuine demands, the office bearers and activists of the Motivators and Master Motivators Union have blamed the administration for death of two activists who were killed in an accident near Barnala when they were returning to their homes on Thursday.

The protestors said they would demand action against the administration for causing death of their members in case the alleged ‘harassment’ is continued.

Meanwhile, six activists, led by state president Gurpreet Singh Sodhi, who had climbed the Bhogiwal water tank 15 days ago continued camping there, while other activists conducted candle march to protest against the alleged apathy of the administration. The protestors also carried pictures of Surjit Singh Kamalwala in Fazilka and Karamjit Singh of Sangrur who died following an accident near Barnala on Thursday.

Meeting between delegation of four office bearers of the outfit with OSD of the Chief Minister Punjab Sandeep Sandhu also remained a futile exercise.

Protestors led by President Gurpreet Singh Sodhi alleged that the adamant and hostile attitude of the administration towards their peaceful agitation had resulted in a situation wherein 17 activists suffered injuries in unprovoked police cane charge and two office bearers had lost lives in the agitation.

Maintaining that the deceased had lost lives due to the lack of concern of the administration. Sodhi said the outfit would launch action against erring officials in case the administration continued attempts to torpedo the agitation.
