Hundreds of anganwadi workers staged a protest against the state government outside the Congress candidate Captain Sandeep Sandhu’s office at Mullanpur-Dakha on Wednesday. The workers alleged that the Congress government failed to fulfill their demands.
Hargobind Kaur, president, All Punjab Anganwadi Employees’ Union, said they had conducted meetings with the government authorities multiple times but their demands were not met. She said they came to mark their protest outside the Congress candidate’s office today.
