KHANNA: The Khanna district police organised a candlelight march on Thursday evening in the memory of police martyrs who had laid down their lives for the welfare of society.

The Khanna district police organised a candlelight march on Thursday evening in the memory of police martyrs who had laid down their lives for the welfare of society.

Khanna SSP Dhruv Dahiya said this march was organised as per directions of Punjab Director General of Police Suresh Arora and Ranbir Singh Khatra, DIG, Ludhiana Range. In his address, the SSP appreciated the role played by the martyrs.

Khanna SP (H) Balwinder Singh Bhikhi, Khanna DSP (H) Mukesh Kumar, Khanna DSP Deepak Rai, Khanna DSP (Special Branch) Sarbjit Kaur, along with other police officials and about 150 residents participated in the candle march.

The march started from Lalheri Road, Khanna, to Chandla Market, Subhash Bazar, and finished at Guru Amardass Market, Khanna.
