Ludhiana, February 15

The board examinations for Class XII students began here on Friday. The students, who have opted for various vocational courses took the exams. The written exams of these students will commence from March 2.

Principal, Nankana Public School, Harmit Kaur Waraich, said the CBSE was going systematically and the vocational exams had been scheduled in February so that students get free early and enough time would be there for declaration of the results.

The students of Class XII are under stress because of the board exams and the CBSE has properly issued instructions to the parents, students, examiners and teachers so that there was no panic and students could take exams in a composed manner.

During all these days, the school managements had held seminars and meetings for the training of teachers and supervisors and necessary instructions by the the CBSE were passed on to all concerned.

Last year, the CBSE had to cut a sorry figure as the papers got leaked and students had to take an exam again.

To make sure that no such incident takes place again, strict issues have been issued to the nationalised banks where question papers will be sent by the board.
