Samrala: Income tax officials on Tuesday conducted a survey at a marriage palace and a cold storage situated at Jhar Sahib village.



Samrala: Income tax officials on Tuesday conducted a survey at a marriage palace and a cold storage situated at Jhar Sahib village. A team of the Income Tax Department, comprising three ITOs and other officials, reached the site around 12.30 pm and started the survey. Manjit Singh, ITO, said the survey was conducted under Joint Commissioner, Khanna Range, Arvind Sudarshan. OC

One booked for kidnapping minor 

Ludhiana: The police have booked a man on the charge of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl. He has been identified as Junaid, a native of West Bengal. Arun Prashad of Budhewal village told the police that Junaid had taken her daughter along with him on the pretext of marrying her. Before kidnapping the minor girl, the accused had even gone to Prashad’s house with a marriage proposal. Police have launched a manhunt to nab Junaid. TNS
