LUDHIANA: Students of Manav Rachna International School celebrated Janmashtami on Saturday.The day commenced with special assembly session in which students recited hymns.

LUDHIANA: Students of Manav Rachna International School celebrated Janmashtami on Saturday.The day commenced with special assembly session in which students recited hymns. A dance show was also held by students to worship Lord Krishna.

HVM Convent School 

HVM Convent Senior Secondary School, New Subhash Nagar, celebrated Janmashtami with great fervour. A special morning assembly was conducted in which students recited poems on significance of Janmashtami. Tiny tots came to school in colorful attire depicting Krishna and Radha. Students also performed group dance and sang a song on the occasion. 

MGM Public School

Tiny tots of MGM Public School, Dugri, celebrated Janmashtami with devotion and enthusiasm. Students dressed up as Krishna, Radha and Gopikas. Headmistress Sunita Vij briefed students about traditional Indian customs and culture. 

Apple Tree Preschool

Apple Tree Preschool, BRS Nagar, celebrated Janmashtami. The entire school was decorated and traditional music was played on the campus. Students came in attire of Lord Krishna and Radha. Students came together to break dahi handi on the occasion.

Darshan Academy 

Janmashtami was celebrated with full zeal at Darshan Academy. Kids dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha,Yashodha and Nand Baba. Children overwhelmed others with their presentation on the anecdotes of Lord Krishna’s life.  

Shamrock Christian School 

Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School, Hambran Road, celebrated Janmasthami. The entire kindergarten block was decorated with flowers and balloons. Tiny tots enacted a play depicting the birth of Lord Krishna.

GMT Public School 

Students of GMT Public School, Jalandhar bypass, celebrated Janmashtami. On the occasion, an inter- house group dance competition was organised in which students belonging to the Sahibjada Jorawar Singh house stood first, Sahibjada Fathe Singh house obtained the second position and Sahibjada Jujhar Singh house ranked third. — TNS
