LUDHIANA: Clad in black robes with colourful scarves on proud shoulders, a large number of pass-outs from Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan, were conferred degrees today during the annual convocation of the college.

Ludhiana, April 18

Clad in black robes with colourful scarves on proud shoulders, a large number of pass-outs from Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan, were conferred degrees today during the annual convocation of the college. As many as 436 degrees were awarded to graduate and postgraduate students of MA, MCom, PGDMC and PGDCA.

The chief guest of the event was General Bikram Singh, former Chief of Army Staff. The college principal, Manjit Kaur Ghuman, read the college report highlighting achievements of the students and faculty in various curricular and co-curricular activities. General Bikram Singh said: “There are no shortcuts in life and the only way to reach one’s dreams is by managing the most precious resource, time. One should always keep a goal in mind and never give up achieving that.”

Annual convocation at Khalsa College for Women

The 57th annual convocation was held at the Khalsa College for Women in which as many as 1,140 postgraduate students were conferred degrees. The function was presided over by Dr Paramjit S Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala. Principal Mukti Gill presented the annual report of the college highlighting achievements of the students in various fields.
