The Court of Additional Sessions Judge Arun Aggarwal has convicted Sarvar Alam on the charge of murdering Mujahar Alam of Shivpuri in February 2014 in the forest area near Tiger Safari. He was ordered to undergo rigorous life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 25,000 was also imposed on him. Delivering the verdict, the court held that the prosecution had successfully proved the charges levelled against the accused.

Initially, a case against unknown persons was registered by the Laddowal police on February 23, 2014, on a statement of Rakesh Sharma, forest guard. The complainant had told the police that he was on filed duty when he noticed the body of Mujahar Alam.

Later, the police booked the accused, along with two others, on a statement of Mohmmad Hussain, father of the deceased. The police recovered the blood-stained knife with which Mujahar was murdered.
