Young Emerging Talent – a group of theatre activists organised a seminar on traffic awareness at the Swami Dayanand Hall. Students were informed of various aspects of road safety. Children were urged to play away from roads. A PowerPoint presentation covering an array of subjects, including rising numbers of road accidents, unsafe drivers, fatalities and emotional impact on kins was shown to students.
Indoor activities organised
An array of indoor activities were organised for students at the Bal Bharti Public School. Students actively participated in event ‘Blow through straws’. The motive behind conducting activities was to empower eye-hand coordination, concentration, facial muscles and oratory skills among students.
Poetry competition held
English petry competition was organised at the Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension. Students of Class IV and V participated enthusiastically in the contest. Students recited poems on different issues, including nature, child labour etc. School principal Mona Singh applauded efforts of students. She said such competitions provide an excellent opportunity for gaining confidence and improving skills of students.
Talent search held
An inter-house talent search contest was held at the Kundan Vidya Mandir, city campus. Students competed in various categories, including mime, solo song, duet dance etc. Participants looked very enthusiastic and performed with great zeal. Headmistress Namita Raj Singh congratulated winners.
Environment Day celebrated
A short speech contest and a rally on ‘Save Environment Save Earth’ was organised at the Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar bypass. Students created awareness related to how and why the environment should be saved with their short speeches. Later, students held an awareness rally by holding placards top save the environment.
