Actor Ajaz Khan, who featured in reality show “Bigg Boss”, has been arrested allegedly with eight tablets of banned ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, the police said today. A Navi Mumbai police team from anti-narcotics squad, acting on a tip-off, raided a hotel room at Belapur late on Monday night. Khan, who was found in the room, was frisked and the narcotic found on his person, the police said.

Police officials said they were still questioning the actor on why he was carrying the drugs in his possession. A few years ago, the actor was arrested for allegedly sending obscene pictures to a woman. He was, however, released on bail in that case. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him.

The actor, however, said in a message on Twitter that he was being victimised. “If helping the delivery boys of Zomato was a crime, I’m a criminal. If speaking against the wrongdoing of Politician (sic) was a crime, I am a criminal. P.S: This all is a conspiracy Planned by the biggies & Dear Media & Haters this “?” won’t help as I know my family & Allah is with me,” he tweeted. — TNS
