3 electrocuted in bid to click selfie atop train

JAMSHEDPUR/JHABUA: A 14-year-old boy was killed and another sustained severe burn injury in Jamshedpur and a 16-year-old died in Jhabua, MP, after coming in contact with a live high tension wire while trying to click a selfie from atop wagons of goods trains reportedly to click a selfie.

A 14-year-old boy was killed and another sustained severe burn injury in Jamshedpur and a 16-year-old died in Jhabua, MP, after coming in contact with a live high tension wire while trying to click a selfie from atop wagons of goods trains reportedly to click a selfie.

Md Faisal and his friend Naved Akhtar, 12, climbed atop a stationary rail oil tanker on Sunday evening, while it was waiting at a signal on the track near Salgajhuri on the outskirts of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. The two accidentally came in contact with the live wire when the incident happened.

While Faisal was killed instantly, his friend was rushed to a hospital with severe burn injuries.

In Jhabua, Pankaj climbed on top of the wagon in the afternoon to click a selfie as reported by eye-witnesses. He came in contact with a high-tension overhead wire and got electrocuted. PTI
