Newly elected MP Manish Tewari said Anandpur Sahib would be developed as a tourism hub.
He said the constituency had great tourism potential and he would make efforts to promote it. He said a comprehensive plan would be prepared for promoting religious and nationalistic tourism in consultation with Tourism Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. “A Punjabi literary fest will be held in Anandpur Sahib or Chamkaur Sahib.”
In reply to a question about the tussle between Captain Amarinder Singh and minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, he said the former had great political and administrative experience and all the ministers must strengthen his hands and work for the development of the state.
