The Sant Samaj on Tuesday urged people to reach Bargari on November 25 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. In a statement issued here, the Sant Samaj said the Bargari Morcha had been demanding action in sacrilege and police firing cases.
Condemning the Amritsar grenade attack and indirectly targeting the SAD, the Sant Samaj said the matter was being politicised. Its leaders said political leaders were speaking against Sikh preachers without any evidence.
Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had on Monday urged the Sant Samaj to ensure the participation of leaders of various political parties and religious organisations for the commemoration of the 550th Parkash Purb of the first Sikh Guru.
