BATHINDA: A 13-year-old boy was killed at Patel Nagar when a speeding car hit him early this morning.

A 13-year-old boy was killed at Patel Nagar when a speeding car hit him early this morning.

Identified as Agam Talwar, a resident of Patel Nagar, Bathinda, he was the only child of his parents. He was a student of class VIII at Delhi Public School here and his father Sanjeev Talwar is the zonal manager in a cement company. Today, Agam was going home on his cycle at 7 am when the incident occurred. He sustained head injuries and died on the spot. The post-mortem examination was conducted at the civil hospital.

Taking his car along, the car driver fled from the site. Some children in a school van nearby and its driver noted half the registration number (2323) of the car. A case under Section of 304A of the IPC has been registered at the Cantt police station against the unidentified driver.
