After the High Court put the Malout-Chandigarh Volvo coach bus of the Punjab Roadways on hold till next date of hearing in the petition filed by Orbit Aviation Pvt Ltd, Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring today accused some transport officers of hobnobbing with the Akalis.

Warring said: “I request Transport Minister Aruna Chaudhary to initiate action against the officers who are responsible for causing loss to the state roadways. Some officers are still hobnobbing with the Akalis. They should be sacked and a case be registered against them for causing loss to the government.”

He said the government had completed all formalities before starting the service. He critcised the Badals for moving a petition against a single bus run by the state government from their home district.

Warring had flagged off the bus with much fanfare from Gidderbaha about two months ago. Its timings clashed with a similar-route bus of Orbit Aviation of the Badals.
