Fazilka, February 5
Two persons, including a woman lost their lives, while the third victim got critically injured in a road mishap near Abhun village of Fazilka district.
Sources said Karamjit Singh, his wife Anu (24), residents of Fazilka and their brother-in-law Jagmeet Singh (27), a resident of Retewali Bhaini village, were returning from Malout in a car on Monday night.
As they reached Abhun village, the car suddenly went out of control and collided with a tree. The impact was such that Karamjit and Anu died on the spot.
Critically injured Jagmeet was rushed to the local hospital from where he was referred to Sriganganagar. The post-mortem of the deceased was done at the civil hospital today. — OC
