KOCHI: Kerala Blasters FC notched up their second win of the Indian Super League season with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over rivals Chennaiyin FC here on Friday.

Kerala Blasters FC notched up their second win of the Indian Super League season with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over rivals Chennaiyin FC here on Friday. Matej Poplatnik scored a brace (23rd and 55th minutes) to put Kerala Blasters in the driving seat and the young midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad finished things off in the 71st minute.

Harbhajan Singh Memorial: Lyallpur Khalsa College win

Sanjeev Kumar struck twice as Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, defeated Government College, Hoshiarpur, on the opening day of the 57th All-India Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial (College and Club) Football Tournament at SGGS College, Mahilpur, on Friday. Kumar netted the first goal in the 35th minute, followed by the second in the 58th minute. Meanwhile, in the opening match of the club category, CISF Delhi edged past PSPCL, Hoshiarpur, 2-1. CISF striker Barjinder Singh scored the opening goal in the 10th minute. Just before half-time, PSPCL’s Gurpreet Singh scored an equaliser. In the 51st minute, Santosh Kumar netted the second goal for CISF.
