Mumbai, March 28

After facing a crushing defeat in the World Cup semifinals, firebrand Indian batsman batsman Virat Kohli and his actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma arrived in Mumbai and Mahendra Singh Dhoni landed in Delhi on Saturday.

Kohli and Anushka, who became a target of ridicule on social media platforms after the team’s ouster, walked hand- in-hand amid a sea of media at the Mumbai International Airport. Following the batsman’s early exit after making only one run in crucial match against Australia, several fans blamed Anushka, who was in the stands during the game, was blamed for his poor show.

Elsewhere, Dhoni landed in Delhi, while five other players besides Team Director Ravi Shastri, touched down at the Mumbai International Airport. Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel also returned to Mumbai, sources said.

"By tonight all others, who have remained behind, would be back in India," they said. — PTI
