A regional review meeting for seven states and UTs regarding the implementation of Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakarm (RKSK) was organised in Chandigarh on January 10 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.



A regional review meeting for seven states and UTs regarding the implementation of Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakarm (RKSK) was organised in Chandigarh on January 10 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The meeting was hosted by Punjab, in which senior health officers of Haryana, HP, Uttarakhand, J&K, UTs of Chandigarh and Delhi, besides Punjab took part.

NTPC bond issue gets overwhelming response

NTPC's Series 67 Bond Issue through private placement has received an overwhelming response from investors. Against an issue size of Rs 500 crore with a Green Shoe option to retain over subscription up to Rs 3,500 crore, bids of Rs 12,520 crore were received. The issue generated a lot of interest among investors thereby pulling down the yield for 10-year bonds to attractive levels of 8.30% annualized.

NFL to establish three seed processing units

NFL has signed an agreement with Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) to construct seeds processing units at Indore, Bathinda and Panipat.  The agreement was signed in the presence of Manoj Mishra, chairman and managing director, NFL, VN Datt, Director (Marketing), NFL, SC Mudgericar, Director (Marketing), CWC, besides senior officials of both companies.

HDFC Bank has announced the completion of its 12th national blood donation drive. It has collected over 1 million units of blood over 12 years. This year, the initiative saw participation from people between the age groups of 18 and 65 who donated blood at nearly 4,000 camps set up in more than 1,100 cities across the country and resulted in the collection of over 3 lakh units of blood.

Dr Jitendra Singh opens SBI’s Gandoh branch 

Minister of State (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated SBI's branch in Gandoh (Doda district) through video conference from Jammu of January 10. AK Dogra, Deputy Secretary, DFS, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh (CGM, SBI Chandigarh Circle) and Abhay K Pandey, DGM, SBI, Jammu Module, were among those present. On the occasion, Prime Minister MUDRA Yojna camp was also organised and loan sanction letters to around 40 beneficiaries were distributed.

Maruti opens booking for new WagonR 

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday announced opening of bookings for its upcoming version of WagonR. Customers can book the third generation WagonR at its authorised dealer network across the country at an initial payment of Rs 11,000, the company said. Moreover, the customers can also opt for online booking on the company's website, it added. The new car will be launched on January 23.
