Chandigarh, August 24
The Chandigarh Police arrested Vineet Thapa (52) of Naya Gaon involved in a burglary case under the supervision of Inspector Ram Rattan SHO Sarangpur. On August 14, Sachin Sharma of Khuda Lahora reported that someone had stolen away his wife’s gold ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh by breaking the locks of his house in the morning.
He immediately informed the police upon which a case under Sections 380,454 of the IndianPenal Code has been registered at Sarangpur. — OC
