A mother and her 3-year-old son were cured of coronavirus and discharged from PGIMER in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, May 25 

A mother and her 3-year-old son were cured of coronavirus and discharged from PGIMER in Chandigarh on Monday.

The two patients are from sector 30 and the son was admitted to the Nehru Hospital Extension on May 1, after he tested positive for the contagion. The 34-year-old woman was allowed as an attendant for her child. After 18 days, the woman also tested positive for the deadly disease.

The mother tested negative for coronavirus on May 24. As the child continued to be indeterminate (considered positive), both of them stayed together in the COVID ward. The duo was discharged for home-quarantine together on Monday.
