CHANDIGARH: General observer for the Chandigarh parliamentary constituency Monimala Phukan Borthakur and counting observer Nagendra Pratap today briefed the candidates about the counting process to be undertaken tomorrow at the CCET, Sector 26, here.

Chandigarh, May 22

General observer for the Chandigarh parliamentary constituency Monimala Phukan Borthakur and counting observer Nagendra Pratap today briefed the candidates about the counting process to be undertaken tomorrow at the CCET, Sector 26, here.

During a meeting held at the UT Guest House in the presence of election officials of the Chandigarh Administration, the candidates and their party representatives were told that the CCET premises was under CCTV surveillance for the smooth conduct of counting.

The counting of electronically transmitted postal ballot system (ETPBS) would be taken up first at 8 am. Around 8.30 am, the counting of votes polled in EVMs will be done.

AROs Arjun Sharma, Anil Garg and Uma Shankar will supervise the counting process under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Mandip Singh Brar.
