The city witnessed 1 mm of rainfall last night. The Met Department has predicted that from tomorrow onwards, there will be a fall in the night temperature.

“The day temperature will rise, but there will be a fall in the night temperature. The weather will remain dry for the next three-four days. There will be shallow to moderate fog in the morning and at night,” said Surender Paul, Director, Indian Meteorological Department.

“As it has snowed in higher reaches, there will be chill in the weather,” he added.

He said the weather would change around January 17-18 as a western disturbance was approaching. It is expected to cause widespread rain or snow over Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature recorded today was 20.6°C, which was normal, while the minimum temperature was 9.2°C, four degrees above normal. — TNS
