Chandigarh, December 29

The Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of the UT police today arrested a fraudster for duping a city resident of Rs86,000. The suspect has been identified as Pardeep (31), alias Vicky, a resident of Hisar district.

The complainant reported that he saw a pamphlet mentioning ‘unique friendship’. He called on the numbers given on the pamphlet. The fraudster claimed that the complainant can earn money for being friends with girls.

The complainant got allured and transferred Rs86,000 as security for medical kit and other charges. However, the complainant later found that he had been duped. — TNS
