In November, Chandigarh Housing Board got Rs 65.4-lakh payments in online mode

The CHB has received a total of Rs65.40 lakh through online mode in November this year.

Yashpal Garg, Chief Executive Officer, CHB, said the online payment system was introduced in October 2019. During November this year, a total of Rs65.40 lakh had been collected through 861 online transactions, he added.

To further encourage online payments, the CHB had introduced monthly reward of Rs1,000 each against 10 online payment transactions.

Due to the model code of conduct in view of the MC elections, the lucky draw could not be held in the first week of December. A computerised draw to decide 10 winners for the month of November was held today, Garg said, and added that among the winners, three allottees had deposited Rs118, Rs590 and Rs800. The 10 winners were six allottees of small flats, two allottees of affordable rental housing and two allottees of residential units, he said. — TNS
