Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 97th birth anniversary.
In a ceremony organised at the Punjab Raj Bhawan, Purohit along with officials of the Raj Bhawan paid tributes to the former PM.
Remembering Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, the Governor said he was a distinguished leader, a politician par excellence, a selfless social worker and a remarkable orator who set an example of good governance in India with politics based on ideological principles.
Purohit said celebrating his birth anniversary as ‘Good Governance Day’ and re-dedicating ourselves to this cause was the real tribute to this great leader of the masses. — TNS
