Teachers of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, organised a reflection and renewal session to celebrate New Year. Through hands-on activities, they equipped themselves to help Gen Next via re-learning to incorporate or create a joyful learning environment. Principal Monica Chawla said they should welcome New Year and resolve to make most use of opportunities.

MRA Modern Public, Panchkula

Staff and students of MRA Modern Public School, Sector 7, organised a havan ceremony to welcome New Year. The students of Sanskrit section, along with their teacher Nisha, performed ‘havan’ and prayed for the well-being of all. Later, prasad was distributed among all. Director Rachna Mahajan wished everyone Happy New Year.

AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh

Commerce Connections, a non-profit company of AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, which always works for the underprivileged, collaborated with Enactus, an international non-profit organisation. They are using their entrepreneurial skills for the betterment of society. Executive Director Jasdeep Kalra applauded the efforts of the students in helping underprivileged women who are making environment-friendly products with Enactus.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Twenty-nine students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, represented Haryana in the 57th National Roller Hockey Championship and won 26 gold and three silver medals. The under-11 category consisted of Gopesh, Daksh, Advit, Samarth, Yug, Chaitnya, Ridhi, Sanvi, Harshita, Vaishnavi and Shree. The under-14 category had Saksham, Harshita, Mehak, Garima, Sanvi, Tvisha, Aariv and Kapish contested. The Under-17 category consisted of Parth, Samaksh, Atharav, Shaurya, Swarnima, Diya and Seerat. The senior category had Shubham, Karan, and Prabhav. Principal Gulshan Kaur congratulated team coach Satyawan Soni and the participants for the achievement. TNS
