Two-year-old hit by water tanker, dies

CHANDIGARH: A two-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a water tanker at the Nepli forest last evening.



Chandigarh, May 15

A two-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a water tanker at the Nepli forest last evening. The victim has been identified as Himashu, whose father Surinder is a resident of the Nepli forest.

After the victim was hit by the water tanker, he was rushed to the Civil Hospital, Mani Majra, from where he was taken to the GMSH-16 where doctors declared him brought dead. A case was registered against the driver, Shakil, under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC at the Sector 3 police station. — TNS
