Muktsar, May 18

A day before the General Elections, some candidates today thronged religious places to pray for their victory.

SAD chief Sukhbir Badal, who is the party candidate from Ferozepur parliamentary constituency and party candidate from Bathinda, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, today paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Similarly, Congress nominee from Bathinda Amrinder Singh Raja Warring along with his wife Amrita Warring today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Qila Mubarak Sahib in Bathinda and prayed for victory.

However, SAD patriarch-cum-former CM Parkash Singh Badal today met the party workers at his Badal village residence.

Notably, this is not for the first time that the candidates thronged the religious places to pray for their victory. Even in the past, they have always visited the religious places like Harmandir Sahib, Vaishno Devi shrine and Salasar Dham in Rajasthan.

It is learnt that some candidates have even announced to visit various religious places if they win the election.

Meanwhile, the workers of different political parties said they were campaigning door-to-door in the villages to ensure the victory of their candidates.
