MRSPTU professor presents research paper in Canada

BATHINDA: Prof Balwinder Singh Sidhu presented a research paper titled “Characterisation of aluminum alloy 6063 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composite by Using Stir Casting Method” at the International Research Conference on Green Manufacturing Engineering held at Vancouver in Canada this week.

Prof Balwinder Singh Sidhu presented a research paper titled “Characterisation of aluminum alloy 6063 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composite by Using Stir Casting Method” at the International Research Conference on Green Manufacturing Engineering held at Vancouver in Canada this week.

The conference was aimed at bringing together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of green manufacturing engineering. A total of 45 participants from renowned technical institutes across the world participated in the conference. Dr Sidhu said the conference provided a premier inter-disciplinary platform to discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field of green manufacturing engineering.

Dr Sidhu carried out his research work at MRSPTU, which provided full financial assistance and research facility to carry it out. He said in terms of scientific contribution, the results of the conference were related to advancement of theoretical understanding of solutions adopted in the field of green manufacturing engineering, which represents a phenomenon that is relevant to mechanical field that will provide holistic understanding of the topic. The conference solicits contributions of abstracts, papers and e-posters that address themes and topics of the conference with novel research materials.

MRSPTU Vice-Chancellor Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, registrar Dr Jasbir Singh Hundal and campus director Dr Gursharan Singh congratulated and appreciated the research work of Dr Sidhu. — TNS
