AMBALA:Two youths died, while one sustained burn injuries due to electrocution after the ladder they were dragging came in contact with a high-tension wire in Dhurkara village today.

Two youths died, while one sustained burn injuries due to electrocution after the ladder they were dragging came in contact with a high-tension wire in Dhurkara village today.

The deceased have been identified as Harpreet (20), a resident of Segta village, and Gurdhyan (29), a resident of Dhurkara village, while the injured has been identified as Rinku. They used to work at Sampat petrol pump in Dhurkara. According to information, there was some electricity fault at the filling station and the owner of the pump had reportedly asked them to bring a ladder from Mahavir College.

They were taken to the Civil Hospital, Ambala City, where Harpreet and Gurdhyan were declared brought dead.

The kin alleged that they were not informed timely by the petrol pump owner and sought action against him. Meanwhile, a case has been registered on the complaint of Maya Ram, Gurdhyan’s father, against the owner of Sampat filling station under Section 304-A of the IPC at the Sadar police station. — TNS

Rajesh Kumar, SHO at the Sadar police station, said “The matter is being investigated and action will be taken as per the law.”
