CHANDIGARH:A three-day NCC Leadership Seminar for training cadets of the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate was inaugurated by the VP Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab, at the NCC Complex here on Friday.

Chandigarh, February 22

A three-day NCC Leadership Seminar for training cadets of the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate was inaugurated by the VP Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab, at the NCC Complex here on Friday. 

The programme aims at personality development of the participants, besides inculcating leadership qualities in them. About 150 participants comprising cadets, officers and staff members are attending the seminar which is being conducted by Shiv Khera, an educationist and motivational speaker.

Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister, Lt Gen TS Shergil (Retd), Chief of Staff Western Command, Lt Gen PM Bali, and Additional Chief Secretary SK Sandhu were among those present on the occasion.

The Governor, who himself was an NCC cadet, observed that the NCC was an excellent organisation that promotes discipline and the spirit of camaraderie and resilience among the youth. 

Additional Director General, NCC, Maj Gen RS Mann, said the seminar would empower cadets and other attendees immensely.
