Peon’s purse stolen

CHANDIGARH:An unknown person stole a purse containing cash and documents of a peon working at the District Courts in Sector 43 here.

An unknown person stole a purse containing cash and documents of a peon working at the District Courts in Sector 43 here.

According to the police, complainant Suresh Kumar, a resident of Dhanas, reported that he reached the court no 18 for his duty on December 1.

The complainant changed the civil dress and wore the uniform. The civil clothes were hanged in the ‘Ahlmad’ room. While leaving the court in the evening, the victim found that someone had stolen his purse from his trouser that was hanged in the ‘Alhmad’ room.

The purse contained Rs 1,600 and documents, including driving licence and car’s registration certificate.

The police were informed about the incident following which a case has been registered against an unknown person at the Sector 36 police station.
