While the country is not new to social media challenges, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has started one with a green twist. In an endeavour to encourage people to plant more trees and contribute to a greener India, Jackie has introduced the #SelfieWithAPlant campaign. The campaign urges his friends, family and fans to add a plant to their home or office, click a selfie with it, upload it on social media and further nominate three of their family or friends to join the green wagon.
Shared Jackie, “I would like to promote a campaign for a green environment. This cause is extremely close to my heart and we all need to understand our collective responsibility in preserving our planet.”
