The BJP received tremendous response from the people during the campaign for the Assembly poll. Whether it was the campaign by our top leaders led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi or the Jan Ashirwad Yatra taken by me across the state, people have given their blessings to our campaign. The Opposition had nothing to offer, while our campaign focused on national issues as well as the performance of our government. The Opposition merely kept attacking us over Article 370 which is close to the hearts of the people. —Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP
Voters waiting to bring back state to No. 1 position
The Congress is coming back to power. People have made up their mind to oust the BJP government led by Manohar Lal Khattar because it has proved an utter failure. Haryana was number one in several aspects when the Congress was in power from 2005 to 2014, but the state has slipped in these five years and is now figuring in the bottom of the performance list. The law and order situation is so poor that over 80 people have died in police firing in five years. People are eagerly waiting for the Congress to returnto power. —BS Hooda, Congress
Harmony mustn’t be disturbed, voters must use free will
We have done our bit by highlighting the misdeeds of the government and telling people what we propose to do after coming to power. Now, it is up to the people to exercise their right to franchise independently and with free will. More than who comes to power is the fact that mutual brotherhood and communal harmony of the state should not be disturbed. People will teach the BJP a lesson for burning Haryana thrice during the past five years and also for claiming innocent lives in police action. — Abhay Singh Chautala, INLD
Win is certain, JJP holds the key to Vidhan Sabha
Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s lock will open only with the JJP’s key. (The JJP’s poll symbol is key). The BJP will be voted out of power by the people of Haryana and the JJP will form the next government in the state. Our party is contesting on 87 seats in the state and our candidates are in a formidable position on as many as 62 seats. On most of these seats, we are in direct contest with either the BJP or the Congress. On two seats, neither of these parties is in contest and our fight is with Independents. We are definitely going to win. —Dushyant Chautala, JJP
