Petrol pump owner robbed of Rs 5 lakh

HISAR: The owner of a petrol pump at Chaudharywas village here was robbed of Rs 5.5 lakh at gunpoint on Sunday evening.

The owner of a petrol pump at Chaudharywas village here was robbed of Rs 5.5 lakh at gunpoint on Sunday evening. The incident took place when the victim, Rahul Gupta, was winding up things to return home.Three persons riding a motorcycle arrived at the petrol station and straightway went to the owner’s cabin. 

They pointed a gun at him and decamped with a bag containing the cash. DSP Amarjit Singh said a case has been registered and efforts were being made to arrest the accused at the earliest. 

State president of the petrol pump association Rajkumar Salemgarh said earlier also, a similar incident had taken place at the same petrol station in February 2017 when miscreants decamped with Rs 5.33 lakh.  The case was yet to be solved. He has demanded security at petrol stations across the district.
