Kurukshetra: The anti-narcotics cell of the Kurukshetra police arrested a youth and recovered 60-gm heroin from his possession on Sunday. The accused was identified as Virender, alias Baba, a resident of Kalayat in Kaithal. A police spokesperson said acting on a tip-off that the accused was coming to Pehowa Chowk from Kalayat in a bus, a raiding party was formed. The team spotted the accused and during checking, heroin was recovered from his possession. A case was registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at City Pehowa police station. The accused was produced before a court which sent him in a three-day police remand.
