Shimla, April 19

Sanjay Awasthy, HPCC working president, today accused the BJP of trying to topple the democratically-elected Congress government as it was averse to development in the state.

Awasthy alleged that the previous BJP government had cheated youth in the name of offering employment but the present Congress government had provided employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth in a transparent manner.

He said, “Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched the Rs 680-crore Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Scheme for the youth. Under the scheme, the youth are being provided 50 per cent subsidy on the purchase of e-taxis and for the installation of 100 Kw to 500 Kw solar panels on private land. The scheme has been expanded to help the youth get into natural farming.”
