The Himachal News (24x7) channel was launched here. It is the first electronic media news channel in the remote district.
Superintendent of Police Dr Monika Bhutunguru, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the office of Himachal News channel. She appealed to the channel management to work with positive outlook and cover issues concerning locals so that their problems could be brought up.
Channel’s founding chairman Surjit Thakur said it would abide by the professional standards.
