In near future, spacecraft developed by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) may use components manufactured at Sundarnagar in Mandi district. Himachal Pradesh-based Hax Magnets, which is working on innovative magnetic technology, has bagged an order from ISRO for the supply of magnetic ring to be deployed in a spacecraft. The company claims that it was the first in the state to supply this critical equipment to the Indian space agency.

“We have received an order from ISRO to supply magnetic ring, critical equipment used in spacecrafts. The commercial production will soon commence at Jai Devi in Sundernagar,” said Arush Agarwal, CEO of HAX Magnets. HAX Magnets Chairperson Hem Lata Agarwal said the launch of the company was delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The Chief Minister would soon inaugurate the factory.

Also, Dr RS Shinde, who is the country’s outstanding magnetic scientist, is a president in HAX Magnets. He will be responsible for special magnetic components development and their supply to ISRO.

Shinde said that all critical machines, which would produce these parts, are made under ‘Make in India’.

“Our factory did not get the government NOC for the past eight years and everything was stuck in the files. But through the investors’ meet, the work was completed in a recorded time,” he added.
