Srinagar, April 20
A local court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of a juvenile accused in a case involving acid attack on a Srinagar girl. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Srinagar, said allowing bail at this stage would defeat the ends of justice.
The JJB said the accused had shown signs of reformation at Observation Home, Harwan, which shall continue for the time being.
According to the police, the 17-year-old boy was riding pillion on a scooter when the main accused threw acid on the girl on February 1. —
