Average AQI improves to 64 after drizzle

Ludhiana today received drizzle during the day which kept the chill in the air and the air quality has also increased after the rainfall. Many residents were seen enjoying the pleasant weather after the rainfall in the city.

The maximum temperature recorded by the Department of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology of Punjab Agricultural University was 16.4°C while minimum was 9°C on Saturday. Morning relative humidity recorded was 78 per cent while evening was 63 per cent. The day’s length was 10 hours and 46 minutes on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after the rainfall, the air quality index (AQI) of Ludhiana has improved considerably. The average AQI of Ludhiana on Saturday, as recorded by the Central Pollution Control Board, was 64 which is considered ‘satisfactory’.

According to Meteorological Centre, Chandigarh, light to moderate rainfall is expected at a few places on Sunday.
